Our school is productive academically. Since the 13th five-year plan, 8 of our projects have been authorized by the National Social Science Fund of China (including a Major Project); 18 projects by National Natural Science Foundation of China (including a Key Project); 5 Social Science Projects by China’s Ministry of Education; 91 projects have been funded by provincial and municipal governments, and 151 by other institutions. Our research fund from the above projects has amounted to more than 70 million RMB in total. Our school has also published more than 800 periodical theses, more than 50 textbooks and monographs. And we have been awarded more than 30 research prizes at municipal and provincial level or above. Our research reports submitted to the Jilin provincial CPC party committee and the Jilin provincial government have also provided them with many valuable strategies and advice for development.
There are seven research institutes within our school. One of them, the Research Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship of Jilin University, is an independent institute and a new type of university-based think tank with Jilin characteristics. Others are non-independent institutes: The Research Center for Innovation and Management (one of the Jilin provincial key research bases of humanities and social sciences), the Center for Studies of Information Resources, the Entrepreneurship Research Center (a source of the CTTI), the Center of Information and Information Management, and the Research Center of Big Data Management. We are also the sponsor of Information Science (a source of CSSCI) and Journal of Industrial Integration and Management.
