Profile of the speaker:

Jing Zhang is Professor in the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship at the Strome College of Business, Old Dominion University, USA, and Director of the PhD Program at the Strome College of Business. She received her PhD from the National University of Singapore and her master’s and bachelor’s degrees from Renmin University of China. She has previously worked at Iowa State University, City, University of London, Lancaster University in the UK, and Lenovo Holdings Co., Ltd. in Beijing, China. Her main research directions are entrepreneurship, technological innovation, and strategic management. She has published more than 30 academic papers in journals such as Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Business Venturing, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, and Research Policy. Her current research mainly focuses on venture capital in China and globally.
