Profile of the speaker:

Shaker A. Zahra is a professor in the Department of Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota, USA, and a Kuang Yaming Chair Professor at Jilin University. His research focuses on entrepreneurship and strategic issues in global technology and science industries. A recent article in Journal of Management noted that Professor Zahra is one of the most cited authors in the field of management over the past 25 years. An article in Academy of Management Perspectives listed him as one of the top management scholars, and his work has influenced both academia and management practice. He has received the Global Award for Entrepreneurship Research, the Outstanding Academic Contribution Award for Competitiveness, and best paper awards from top journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Management, and Journal of Management Studies. Professor Zahra is a Fellow of the Academy of Management and a Fellow of the Academy of International Business, and has been listed as a Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Researcher and one of the world’s most influential scientific minds.
